What is NAD?

NAD stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and naturally exists in all of the living cells in our bodies. Without NAD, we wouldn’t be able to live happy, healthy and wealthy lives. There are two forms of the molecule, NAD+, and the other NADH . Nad precursors include nicotinamide, nicotinamide riboside, nicotinamide mononucleotide, but what exactly is the difference between NAD+ and NADH ?

To put is simply, one form of the molecule is holding onto an electron and the other is not. When NADH donates an electron, it becomes NAD+, and when NAD+ takes an electron from another molecule it becomes NADH.

The fact of the matter is that without either form of this molecule, we wouldn’t be able to lead fruitful lives, let alone survive. NAD+, the oxidated form of the molecule, is able to take electrons from the molecules in foods that you eat. After taking these electrons, it donates them to the mitochondria in your cells, to be utilized as energy.

On top of helping sustain mitochondrial function , NAD is crucial to the aging process because the molecule is active in DNA repair, chemical stress, and inflammation.

NAD sets the tone for our energy levels and how well (or poorly) we age; two factors that can heavily influence how well and happily we live our entire lives.

The Miracle Molecule:

In the world of hustle , grind , and waking up at 5:00 am, energy is everything. And between back to back work meetings, family, and self-care, it seems like we never have enough of it. The reality of the modern way of life is as follows: energy = productivity.

The more energy we have, the better we can perform and the more we are able to invest in our nearest and dearest short-term and long-term priorities.

The Rxantiaging team empathizes with the grand demands of your life, and we’re here to help you optimize your energy so you can crush your goals at work, home and in the gym.

To help you do so, we now offer NAD Therapy , better known as the “energy” drip. Read on to discover more about the benefits of NAD and how supplementing it can help you get from ordinary to top-performer levels of productivity and efficiency in all areas of your life.
